Those aromas merge onto the palate dominated by the sweet cherry and baking spices of vanilla and nutmeg complimented with a hint of eucalyptus. Lambert Estate welcome applications from local practicing artists to exhibit in two upcoming exhibitions this year. Tasting Notes: The 2010 Commitment Shiraz is deep, dismal red leading to aromas of blackberries and black cherries complimented with hints of eucalyptus, earth, licorice and pepper. The palate comes active with tastes of light vanilla and sweet berries completed with characters of cloves, nutmeg, coffee and dismal chocolate. The Shiraz builds on the palate with blackberry and cherry fruit along with dismal chocolate and hints of leather. Tasting Notes: Deep vibrant garnet in color, the 2012 Mustang Sally Shiraz is an effortless drinking wine with aromas of vanilla, plum and cherry with hints of savory black olive. This unique red combine tantalizes again on the palate with ripe fruits of strawberries and plums paired with clove, peppermint and violet to balance the nutty, vanillin characters from the oak. The silky tannin bring the sweet fruitcake and baking spice flavors through to a clean, memorable finish. Now married, it’s Kirk and Vanessa who fuse their American and Peruvian backgrounds with their expertise in wine making. It’s an approach to single vineyard wine making that you can taste in every bottle of Lambert Estate Wines. That’s piece of the reason why every bottle of Lambert Estate wine is unique and special. And, because we are a small higher in elevation than much of the Barossa Valley to the east, it’s a pristine, unspoiled location that produces intense, intricate wines loved across Australia and around the world. Lambert Estate’s winery opened a second chapter in the family’s production story with the 2015 vintage. It also means our winery is a naturally cooler space, with less need for air conditioning to prosper the quality of our wines.
